QuoteMate prices materials from real Australian suppliers, but it always puts your numbers first. If you've saved a trade rate or a supplier price for an item, that's what it uses — retail pricing is only a fallback.
Where prices come from
QuoteMate looks for each material's price in this order, so your own data always wins:
- Your saved section templates — bundles you've priced before.
- Your supplier favourites — your personal price book at your real trade rates.
- Your configured suppliers — live prices pulled from the hardware and trade suppliers you've set up in the app.
- AI estimate — a fallback when nothing else returns a price.

Import your own price list
Snap a photo or upload a PDF of a supplier price list and QuoteMate extracts each line item. Review the rows, then save the ones you want to your favourites so they price automatically next time.
Save your trade rates
Save what you actually pay (and charge) for common items. QuoteMate remembers what you charged last time to keep your pricing consistent across quotes.
"No prices found" — what to do
If an item comes back without a price, try one of these:
- Reword the search — match the supplier's shelf name (products don't always match how you'd say it).
- Save a supplier favourite for that item so it prices instantly next time.
- Fetch prices again after editing the item name.
