At tax time your accountant wants two things: what you invoiced, and what you actually got paid. QuoteMate puts both in one statement you can email straight from the app, with a PDF to read and a spreadsheet (CSV) for their software.
Where to find it
Tap the Earned this month tile on your dashboard. That opens Insights & Reports; tap Reports at the top and the statement is there.
Pick the period
Choose a period with the chips:
- Last FY — the most recent full financial year (1 July to 30 June).
- This FY — 1 July to today.
- Last quarter — the most recent full quarter.
- Custom — pick a start date, then an end date. Emailing covers up to 24 months at a time.
The card updates as you switch, showing invoices issued, payments received, and what was still outstanding on the last day of the period. If you're registered for GST, it also shows GST collected.
Send it
Tap Send to accountant, enter their email address, and add a note if you like. Leave the note blank and we'll write a short one that names the period. Flick on Email me a copy if you want one for your records.
Your accountant gets one email from your business with two attachments:
- PDF — a statement with two tables. Invoices issued lists every invoice by its issue date. Payments received lists every payment by the date you recorded it, with a subtotal per payment method.
- CSV — the same figures as a spreadsheet, ready for their software.
Replies come back to you, not to us. We remember the address for next time; you can change it under Settings → Business Profile → Accountant email.
Share it instead
Tap Share PDF to make the statement on your phone and send it anywhere: save it to Files, print it, or drop it into a message.
How the figures work
- An invoice belongs to the period its issue date falls in, the same date printed on the invoice.
- A payment belongs to the period it was recorded in. A payment recorded in July for a June invoice shows on July's statement, which is what your accountant expects for a cash-basis view.
- Deposits taken on a quote appear under payments received. The invoice that follows shows the amount invoiced after that deposit.
- Cancelled invoices and draft invoices are left out.
- If you're not registered for GST, the statement says so and shows no GST column.
